According to the Forest Service website, “the existing forest plans are more than 20 years old and due for revision.” Economic, social and ecological conditions as well as new laws, regulations and policies make creating a new plan vitally important.

If you would like to read the plans, they are available at http://tinyurl.com/r5earlyadopters.

If you would like to submit a comment on the proposed plans, there are three methods. You can visit the project website listed above. You can mail your comment to: Planning Team Leader, Forest Plan Revision, 1839 South Newcomb Street, Porterville, CA 93257, or you can email r5planrevision@fs.fed.us.
