Default Protection Vests

Does anyone have experience with snow specific protection vests? I like the idea of having the chest / frontal puncture and impact protection. Also having pockets to stow survival equipment would be nice. The prices of the ones I've check out is outrageous!

Default vests

I run a b wear that is probably 10 yrs old now, it has been a good vest, I ride with guys who run the klim vest and it is a nice piece also the teck vest. I am actually looking at the evs ballistic jersey thinking it may be a good way to go but have no real feed back on it nor have I seen one in person.. Julio

ps I run my vest under my jacket/jersey, if you want pockets I think that limits options drastically..
