I love this thread. I too purchased my 05 about 3 years ago without doing the research i probably should have first, especially for it being my first ever sled (it looked bad ***) . It was very well kept but i have been in over my head either way. threads like this have helped me fix all of the issues i have had to date. I would love to do a build similar to this in the next few years.

Keep up the good posts.

Funny... I've got one of these sleds sitting "in the corner" with an electrical gremlin that I just haven't taken the time to work on and seeing this just might make me change my mind from a complete part out to a rebuild. Lookin' good!!

UPDATE

As of today... installed track/drivers/chaincase/jackshaft.... replaced TPS wires.
CAUTION!!! AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PIC, AFTER I SANDBLASTED AND POWDER COATED MY CHAIN CASE THERE WAS SAND ALL OVER IT, IT TOOK A TON OF WORK AND DIFFERENT CLEANERS TO REMOVE IT ALL! JUST AND FYI IF YOU GET SOMETHING POWDER COATED.
Waiting for new motor mounts, then will install motor!!yaya
