I'm looking at a 07 M1000 with a 1200 kit in it. DD lite, controller, 162" track. 3000 miles total, 1500 on engine. Worth picking up, any problems? was originally looking for an M8, I know there's some weight difference, 29 lbs, is the ride the same? better, worse? I'm currently riding an 02 800 rmk. Mainly boondocking, some climbing,

1200 kit

about the only thing I can think of would be the cost of replacement parts if you ever need them.
You might want to check on that.

they make good power around 220-230hp

but a big bore with 1500 miles on it is alot might be time to give it a top end

The 1200's I've run with out here are great sleds. A bit finicky compared to a turbo... but way cheaper & "less" to go wrong, and they'll run with PG sleds easy.

Never heard of wsm though...

WSM= western snowmobile and marine in Idaho. Talked with them this morning, said they have had no problems with their 1200's. Speedwerx pistons and low compression. how do handle compared to a M8?

Check out how bad SW is going to rape you on pistons... one thing to think about. I like to do top ends often, and paying 3x as much (MINIMUM) for pistons hurts for me anyhow.

I'd try to find someone else with that kit, the builder will ALWAYS tell you it's a great kit... that's par for the course, but you want to hear some honest real world reviews.

I've run with D&D 12's & BMP 12's around here, both were a tad finicky, but ran well.

73 goliath on here has built a few, maybe shoot him PM about what to look for.

OUCH

That's a pricey top end, what do they want for the sled $$ , what year, there's a lot of nice used turbo's on snowest right now
