Most guys I know run 2.42 (like myself) with 8 tooth drivers or 2.33 with 7 tooth drivers and that doesn't seem to change regardless of elevation on stock motor. Those two final drive ratios are pretty much equal

i ride 5000- 8000ft. sled makes about 25hp more than stock 7 tooth drivers.

Same elevations as you, Im running 2.25 now, stock engine, 7 tooth drivers, 153 track, and I'm 250 geared up.

I tried 2.42 right off the bat but went up after a few rides.

I have a 16' M6000 Ctec2 153 and 16' M8000 162

Both have 7t driver and 3' Powerclaw track.

I tried it both on stock gearing when i buying it.

I gearing up the 8000 first at 20/49 (2.45) and better! I gearing up again to 21/49 (2.33) and now he pulling hard.

I gearing up the 600Ctec2 at 20/50 (2.50) and he feel way better i too, i will try 20/49 (2.45) on it this year.

Is there someone who knows if 21/48(2.28) can work on chaincase

Ran 2.42 for a couple rides last year and Tom has me switch to 2.33 was significantly better. Definitely do the 2.33 or maybe even 2.25. With 7 tooth drivers these things are geared way way too low. Nice to be able to at least hit 70
