has anyone elses button fell off? it looks like I have to buy a whole gauge to get the rubber button, or just duct tape it like the bottom intake screens

Nope, but it is 25% of the price of a cheap used gauge that you would either need to reflash to make work with your sled, or ensure that the part number matches, and it's 10% the price of a new gauge.
There is no way to buy replacement parts, so you can only get a rubber button part from destroyed gauge.
Yes, mine fell off one ride this year. Ben using one off my old sled cause I keep forgetting to ask dealer about it

You can buy this from Cat. Was an update kit for the leaky pre-2012 gauge but will work on your gauge to replace the button. $14.99
