not snox chassis, just info from race shop personel at esc event.

When the events are close to home I still go out and work on a few sleds to lend a hand..I just love racing more than trail riding..

An 860 factory big bore would be a let down personnally. Skidoo needs to bring the 1000 back out. Powerf and torque to spare when spinning a 163. If they dont i am sure cat will have a new chassis around 430lb with a 1000 in it.

Would be a let down? IMHO the 1000 is dead. Cat just came out last year with the HO 800. With the new EPA I just cant see any of the manufacturers producing anything over an 800. 430lbs with a 1000 in it????? Lets be realistic how are you going to drop weight and add a 1000 engine to the mix, the price for your dream sled would be way out of most of the consumers price range, lets say 25,000 to 30,000. If you want a mod sled, go mod one, but don't expect BRP too.

These christmas speculation threads are entertaining.

900, I believe.

What I was told, long ago, is the 800R cases were designed for the new 900 E-tech, that was in the works for the last 4 years. Also heard, that's why they scrapped the 1200 Summit, because there was no comparison on lb/hp.
Once again, just talk, but very realistic.

Sounds promising. 900cc with 180hp would be a good setup.

EPA regs? The cat 1000 should have 203 HP if you do the math according to what their 800 puts out.
