05 900 crank failure

hey guys just wondering about the cranks on the 900's and if the are breaking anytime or only when a belt goes just bought an 05 and tryin to get this thing reliable. going to install a slp torque arm and 115 belt and new front motor mounts and getting the clutch balanced removed the front radiator already and a 06 top end rebuild am i missing anything?

Dont forget venting for better airflow and cooling.

Thats a pretty good start. If your crank run out and clutch alignment are good there is no reason it cant last. Your in the right place for info on the 900 read the info in the links up top in this section. Enjoy !!

i got vents on the clutch side panel just waiting for parts so i can get this thing back together.

I think a push arm on mag side is more important than the torque arm and you might want to change out the pistons to 06 pistons also check thottle body boots.

VENT IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.

I think you have the out of balance tips / tricks identified.

Make sure to torque / and retorque primary bolt to spec. after heat soak.

Float the secondary to compensate for any permanent misalignment.

Put vents on both sides. Don't want to draw heat across engine and clutch from compartment.
