Just a heads up.
Looks like there will be a new lightweight Carbon Fiber hood coming out for the Viper by year's end.

Another way to shave off a few more pounds.

Patrick custom carbon already makes cat/viper carbon hoods, panels, shrouds and tunnel extensions

Yeah but you have to have so much money that you can use dollar bills as toilet paper to have enough money to buy a full kit from both of them :p

This next one will be a blend of Plastic and Carbon.
Should be a bit more on the affordable side of the cost equation.

So it's not a carbon hood it's a plastic carbon hood, what's that? lexan with carbon plasti dip? Lol give us the scoop who is making it?

C3 Powersports has made a full CF hood for the Cat chassis for three years now. Was running one on my 2012 M8. 1200 bucks with integrated air box and it was 14lbs lighter. If one is running a turbo on their Viper the same hood without air box should work and be a bit cheaper yet. Their fuel tank saved roughly the same weight again but was around 2k. With a can and a few other things I was down about 60 lbs or around 420 dry.

cr racing will have there hood out this year,they are glass hoods not much diff in weight compared too carbon & way cheaper,about 450$.
