New drivers, lots of vibration on a MCXpress 08 Nytro

Had to have the drivers replaced as racheting wrecked them. Put some Avids on, and low and behold, I guess I didnt' have track tight enough as they racheted too. Some damage, but usable. I tighten the tract way up, according to yamaha specs, and now there is a vibration.

Really bothersome, How much vibration is normal if any?

What kind of track did you install?

Its the track that came with it, CE only 2.25" x162

Looking at some other posts it does have those stupid "nubs", and i am sure that the Low speed vibration I feel is from the drivers going over top of them. Why the hell are those even there. Seems kind of stupid to me.

With the track much tighter I think that is where it is coming from. What a PITA.

Any other thoughts?

Those nubs have to be cut off they are for arctic cat style drivers. They definnatly are causing your vibration. Do a search on the camo extreme track and you will find pics and instructions

Cut one the other day for a friend, pretty easy.

use a razor blade knife....they come off easy with a new blade
