I did it to a 01 RMK. Used Brad's engine plate and SLP pipes. Had a 99 XCR as a donor sled. Used the stock air box and had the stock oil bottle cut down. I may still have some pictures. Had a rolled chain case so I was able to use the edge drive belt. Spent lots of time trying to get a team to work on it but never could. Button driven was lots faster and held the Rs right on. If you get serious about it, call me. Lots of little tips I can give you.

Right on thanks for the info, I have a buddy with a 01 RMK with a 151 and a very broken 700 for $500, and I have a 95 XLT 600 that has some serious everything issues but runs like a top.
an XLT 600 is NOT the best option find a 600 twin that is a much better option

Yeah I've found a new chassis for the XLT gonna fix it and sell it and use that money for the RMK
