I changed the clutch wts. in my 93 Phazer2 from a 89f to 88r.(got a deal on them) I know the 88r are about 2 grams lighter so I figured this would help my top RPM by about 200. The 88r are suppose to be more aggressive. So my problem now is that it has a lowend bog. Is this because the wts are to aggressive for the motor on the bottom. I looked at the Yam Clutch Wt. chart and they don't seem to be to far if I'm reading right. Any info on how the 2 compare would be great! Thanks!

My guess is the 88r has a heavier base then the stock ones. You will either have to add a stiffer spring for higher engagument oe file the weight down where it sits on the roller. Or, if the weight has a rivet by the base, exchange it for a light one.
