Insulated jackets or snowboard jackets?

Need opinions
I am looking for proper gear for my snowboarding. I have been seeing lots of insulted jackets and snowboard jackets currently at the ski bum store. I am just confused about what to purchase in between. It's getting too cold on the east side; anyone has any experience of wearing from these two jackets for snowboarding. Ad well, let me know active the ski bum coupons for discounted purchases from reliable sites? Please share your opinion about the jackets selection. Any help much appreciated, Thank you
