Can't figure out how m's were king since 2005. They were a joke until 2009 or 10. I don't buy the 140 hp on the m7. The 07 800 and the 1000 were a joke. All the people who bought into the m8 kit for the m7 got ripped off. The chassis was good but they didn't put the mark on the hill until 2010.

WHOOOAA there Turbo, maybe you, Kelly and Ozone can breakdance. But the M is the king of Boondocking, tree riding Mountain riders. I agree the 10' was a huge step, but since the M no other sled could manuever even close.

Forget HP, Hence the fact the Pro rmk is just as good or better than the M w/ 15 less HP. Dont try a jive talk me!

Not better or well I should say at 6900rpm a 1000 is behind a bit but not too bad but at full 7300-7400 and running good a 1000 will walk all over a 2010 M8

Well it sounds like you need to get your sled back on the snow then, cause I doubt it will beat the 2010 M8 that we ride with.:face-icon-small-hap

Some of you guys on here either need to get drunk and relieve some anger or get laid.....

Also, do you honestly think Cat would drive around two 2012 model sleds that they are keeping a secret, and then just park them in front of a casino for everyone to see??? That picture is still up on every snowmobile site there is because its not the new chassis, or its disguised so much it looks nothing like the new chassis. Obviously Cat knows about that pic and they dont care.

I think the important thing to remember is that Cat has the 2012 chassis finalized. They may be making small twecks to this and that. they are probally working on a new chassis already. Must engineering departments work and develop for years prior. Not to mention. With the resources that cat, polaris, doo, and yamaha have they could put a sled out on the trail with a totally different set of plastic on it.

I am not really a fan of arctic cat but I love snowmobiling and inovation and I am as excited every year to see what each manufactur has come up with! It is fun to see the new ideas.

Listen here poopy pants You already got a new sled and made an awesome thread about how fun a cutler turbo is on a 110" track, :face-icon-small-tonand how big of wheelies it pulls, how the seat has that new car smell. How great your life is and how handsome you are riding you amazing green rocket. Lol.
So leave us and our speculative ideas of a less than terrible rider forward, sno pro chassis having SKI-CAT. Lol

Oh yea, being such a respected snowest member like you are! Pay the damn 15$ for a membership. :face-icon-small-hapyou can't tell us about your $17,000 sled and complain about $15

..................Jeff C, do you really think you need 180HP at elevation?? I mean I saw a Summit 670X go up almost every hill we saw this year... ;)

Joe

Yes, Joe you did see the ole 99' Summit go up every hill your new fancy m series sleds did. And with style, I might add as well.

Joe, here is the deal. I am going to upgrade one more time, then I am done buying sleds. Joe, unlike you, I have a couple of kids that will need college educations in about 6-8 years (Depending on which kid we are talking about). Oh, and there is that little thing called retirement planning!

It has been 12 glorious physics defying years on the old 99' summitx, it might be time to sell it (It is for sale at $6k,,,,,, yes I said $6k. It is that expensive because I will personally sign the hood for the lucky buyer, and after the signature the value will have instantly doubled)

The way I look at it, I want a four stroke. I am done worrying about adding oil, or even pulling the starter cord for that matter. I measure a bad day out in the mountains as having to open up my hood for any reason. I want to push a button to start it, (I might even consider remote start to warm the sled up from my easy chair in the cabin).

So given the fact I want a four stroke, I dont want just any sluggish four stroke. I want something with elevation power. That means turbo.....

If the sled comes in at around 525 I might be going "all-in"

Remember Joe, my old 99' summitx weighed right at 500#. I am a biscuit shy of 245# and have no trouble throwing that sled around. (remember the sidehilling and boondocking clinics you guys all paid me good money to put on for you?)

So whats another 25-30 pounds of weight to deal with.......... That's right, nothing..... That weight might be a bigger deal if you are mal-nourished 150 pound weakling. Heck after a good meal in island park, my weight can easily vary that much anyway.

After the reveal of the 2012 line up from Cat, I am taking applications from dealers out there in Snowest land, to sell me a 2012 turbo mountain sled from Arctic Cat. The price had better be low as I will agree to put your dealership sticker on my hood, and tell everyone I am being sponshured by you, the lucky dealer. Remember, my name carries a lot of weight for at least two houses on either side of mine on my cul de sac.

Joe, stay tuned, just like Cat is coming with their new line up on March 8th, I will be revealing to the world my decision on what my plans are by April 1 2011.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new four stroke mountain sled from cat. Cat gave yamaha rights to the diamond drive, maybe cat got permission to use the yamaha idea of forward intake/rear exhaust for a new cat 4-stroke as part of the deal. No matter what it will be exciting to see what's released on march 8th. Everybody I ride with wants the new pro, but I'd like to stay with cat. Hope its as good as some are saying.
