I have read many threads on the tunnel conversions to a '09. Does anyone who used OEM '09 parts to do the upgrade have any pictures they could upload? I have searched and found tons of pics for BDX and people have talked about using the '09 parts, but I haven't been able to see any pics.

tunnel

A bud of mine just did it.He was going to swap tunnel extension to an 09,BUT its like 4" shorter. He ended up mounting the bumper on his extension and cutting the taper in the tunnel and it looks pretty good.I personally would buy the cat extension. Its tinfoil thick, compared to an 06.(what he is working with)
He lined up the slots for the new style flap and used a plazma to cut them in,fits real nice.
Hope this helps.

The fellow I bought the sled from had put them on. The brace is part of the hitch package for the bumper. I had put the brace on my 05' M7 also. Your dealer should be able to find the brace for you.... If not let me know and I will get the part numbers for you.

I did one of each. The sled on the left is an 08 with the OEM ’09 bumper. The sled on the right is the BDX bumper on an 07 with the stock Snow flap. The only pic I have on this computer.

Do the 09+ back tunnel pieces have a more of a taper than an 08? I dont mean the cut where the bumper goes, i mean if you were to put a level on the back part compared to the regular part of the tunnel.. Thanks!!!

I ordered all the goods and will be doing mine soon :)

I just bought the 09 bumper, edge rails and support gussets. Then trimmed the handle part off my old bumper, trimmed it to fit, used a sanding wheel on a grinder to sand off the nub in the middle on back, and put a couple extra bolts on the sides.

I ordered the tail light, end cap, bumper, i have the gussets, I am putting a 153 track under my 162 so it should be like the 2011 HCR's.

Im gonna see how it all looks with the longer tunnel and stock heat exchanger before i buy more.

I will definitely post pics when i get it done!

Has anyone made their own conversion just using aluminum and fishplating the whole rear section? I think this is the route i am going to do, wont look as nice but will definetely be stronger.

From what I have read on other threads you can use stock '09 parts and get it done for under $200. I'd rather pay that and have it look close to a stock sled then try to fab my own.
