Bungee on these bumpers

Been considering this change to my 05 M. However, I think early in the thread there was concern that the BDX bumper wouldn't hold up to pulling another sled out using a SnoBunje. Now that we have snow, I'm curious to know whether anyone can verify that the BDX and/or the 09 Cat bumper holds up well to pulling another sled out a of a stuck with the Bunje. Anyone with any experience?

BDX on an 08 1000 has had no problems with a snobunje or towing sleds out. Its been used a few times and no problems.

Mike at BDX will tell you the same thing. ;)

using bunjie

There was a thread awhile ago about these bumpers called "do it the sandman way". I asked about pulling sleds out and I forgot the guys name but said yank away. He also posted pics of bunjing asled out. Said he had no problems.

i've been putting off posting my conversion. here it is. VERY happy with it and do believe it helps the sled even climb a little better.

MrQuick68, is that a roll of 467MP under the bench? Send me a PM on what you're doing with it.

BTW... nice looking mods!

Just finished my 07 M8 153. BDX bumper kit (clean instalation), flattened the 07 intercooler in a press and cleaned up with a hammer on the bench (no problemo), a little metal fabing at back of tunnel for strength (bent alum strip across back), 09 flap & light.

Really pleased with the results. :D

Thanks guys .. couldn't have done it without this thread.

I vote for the BDX bumper... :)

I see there are some comments about the tunnel cracking, we addressed that almost immediately, it was strange however there were some tunnels that cracked and some that didn't. There are so many variables as well on how people want to finish the tunnel..

You can definitly tow with our bumpers (personal experience) but I have not used or have not had any reports of bungee's being used??

I have a 05 king cat 900 and have used the bungee a ton of times and it is holding up great. I have installed this bumper on to m-series and they look great and can handle the abuse.

thanks bdx

looks good, i'm planning on doin the same thing to my m7. picked up the green 09 bumper and both running board gussets for like $38 cant beat that.

i currently have the old style VE bumper which has worked fine but looks kinda goofy and it bends easy, first it bent towing out a buddies sled and now it points straight up and down from a slow "rearender" from another buddy so thats what turned me away from paying big money for one of there new bumpers even though they look easier to instal.
