Other then being able to run less octane or more boost what effect does a low comp head have on performance ?
Is a lower comp head worth it?

this is a very complex question with a lot of factors...we messed with this issue on the dyno in blown gas motors for years........
What were your findings? there's always many variables but would love to hear the pro's to cons of it, or whether you would really notice much difference. I had a home made turbo ski doo and machined my domes to reduce the compression, I never noticed any loss of throttle response but was able to run more boost safely.
