Tip the sled on its left side(clutch side) then you need to get the bearing out. I did it by pulling up on the axle while a extra set of hands grabbed the bearing. It will only pop up a tad so it can be kind of hard to get sometimes. Once the bearing is out it gives you enough room to wiggle the axle out. Hope that makes sense

speedo pick up pulls right off 3/4 more clearance, move the 3 stud bracket over towards the driver out of the way, push up on the track in area of front cooler to get track off drivers, push the shaft towards chain case,it willl not move much, reach around tunnel and gab what you can of the bearing and hold it,move shaft back a little then push it back towards case, repeat as necessary, once bearing s out slide shaft towards case till it clears,
whaola
careful not to tear the rubber seal.re grease
just put 163 on a 07 159 8th drivers 2.38 lug 2.89 pitch

Just did the swap on a 04. Pulled the cover, retainer, bearing then pulled speedo cover, magnetic insert and pushed the three bolts for the bearing cover back into tunnel. The entire unit slid out into chaincase and dropped onto my lap in a matter of minutes.
