Alright Mr. guarantee.......

Will see just how good you are. I have to head for DeSmet in a couple weeks so I'll stop by and grab a few to test out.

I'll report back my findings on your so called "head and shoulders better than any other brat I have ever had". :face-icon-small-ton

P.S. Basically this is just an excuse for me to try another meat market. LOL

Chris what kind of smoker do you have? I went with RecTec and love it. Did wings and shrimp Sunday. Then stuffed hotdogs wrapped in bacon on Monday, both were excellent. I do a lot of grilling and smoking during the spring, summer and fall months. Winter comes and I'll still smoke something once a month at least

I bought one of the new WiFi Traeger Timberline 850s.
Fully insulated and Smoked like a CHAMPION all winter long.
SUPER SUPER happy with this and the WiFi interface for my phone.

I don't do this often, but I know alot of you pass through here on US Hwy 12.
So here is a plug for Jorgenson Meats in Waubay SD
My boss picked up some of their beef sticks when passing by once. They were real tasty!

So how does that smoke differently then a normal smoker? Or are you referring to ease of use?

Its the ability to check on the smoker from a distance that makes it so nice.

I can check the Temp or CHANGE the temp anywhere and any time.
Same for the Probe.

So I can easily keep tabs on my smoker while away from home or just sitting in my office working.

For complex smokes, the interface allows you to pre-program multiple temp swings over time.

My only concern is that I want one I can take with in the camper and most places do not have wifi that we would use it when camping. However a few the smokers have bluetooth to monitor temp and time and I could just sit my ipad within close enough distance to use that. If I was only using this at home I think the Treager you have would be a killer set-up.

I might just have to give up on any of the smokers with apps and just go old school on it. LOL

The Timberline is NOT portable.
This thing is a BEAST and weighs a ton.

Its super well built, but would be a bear to move around.

Tried something new on the smoker.

SMOKED SALSA.
Wow, out of this world.

So I smoked all of the fresh vegies at 165" on Super Smoke for 1 hour.
Then raised the temp to 250 for another 30 minutes.

Put everything in the blender and did a short course blend.

The flavor was EXTRODINARY.
But.
What everyone commented on was that the salsa was HOT.
None of us had ever had "hot" Salsa.
Its always served either Cold or at room temp.
The heat of the salsa and the fresh aroma just blew everyone away.

And it tasted fantastic!
