running bad and dies

had the 06 out the other day and it started running really poor, then died. started back up idled really bad then died again, changed the plugs with the same result. so i towed it back. brought it home and pulled y pipe and reeds checked pistons. they look good just did a top end like 150 miles ago. check compression and its good on both sides. noticed that the pto side is really oily and the plug was really wet. it only revs up to like 5000 and then just dies but will start back up again. smokes really bad and smells rich. the oiler cable is still good and in adjusment. has spark on both sides. and suggestions of where i should look would help greatly. thanks.

sometimes it will back fire. and its smoking really bad pto side is loading i think its at the shop now so we might be able to figure it out
