Parks Highway ANCSA 17(b) Easement Management Meeting

For anyone who snowmachines in the Cantwell, Broad Pass area this could be a crucial meeting regarding access from the highway to state and federal public lands beyond Native private lands.

AGENDA

July 1, 2009, 1:30 p.m., Cantwell Village Hall:
1. BLM Welcome and Introductions
2. Establish goals of meeting & encourage open discussion and brainstorming toward finding solutions that will benefit all stakeholders and the public.
3. Discuss Broad Pass 17(b) easement [6bc5L]; currently digitized to start at MP 195.4 Parks Highway and extends west.
a. Round robin to identify issues from all stakeholders associated with this easement.
b. Identify potential solutions
c. Identify any obstacles for each solution presented
d. Decide if a site visit is necessary or needed
e. Identify best solution for all stakeholders and the public.
f. Identify and assign tasks to accomplish best solution
g. Establish a timeline goal for accomplishing tasks

4. Evaluate time and Schedule. If participants agree to keep going, discuss Windy Creek 17(b) easement [7aC5D1L]; starts out of Cantwell Village and heads west to NPS managed land.
a. Round robin to identify issues from all stakeholders associated with this easement.
b. Identify potential solutions
c. Identify any obstacles for each solution presented
d. Decide if a site visit is necessary or needed
e. Identify best solution for all stakeholders and the public.
f. Identify and assign tasks to accomplish best solution
g. Establish a timeline goal for accomplishing tasks

5. Break for evening

1. BLM Welcome and Introductions (if new participants)
2. Establish goals of meeting & encourage open discussion and brainstorming toward finding solutions that will benefit all stakeholders, including the public.
3. Yanert/Revine Creek 17(b) easement [21L]; starts at MP 228 Parks Highway and heads east.
a. Round robin to identify issues from all stakeholders associated with this easement.
b. Identify potential solutions
c. Identify any obstacles for each solution presented
d. Decide if a site visit is necessary or needed
e. Identify best solution for all stakeholders and the public.
f. Identify and assign tasks to accomplish best solution

Thanks for the info and I am with you, nice time to have a meeting. Hoping maybe second meeting will be at a better time. Would really like to voice my thoughts.
