I am not drag racing in the flat land.
I would like to know which will offer more HP at 10,000 feet? On a stock turbo. Will the TD offer there claimed HP at 10,000 feet?
Or are they both going to deliver about the same 215 HP?

TD reflash at 10 000 and up ft will need very lite additional tuning to be 100% effective, but the factory compensation tables are still in the ecu and will do the job at higher elevation too, just need a "certification"" i guess.

I have the td 4 stage reflash on my 1100t I ride around 2000' too 5000' and it works awesome at elevation. My sure it will be fine at 10,000' just have alot less power. From what I have read 210 too 220 is max on the stock turbo at 10,000' know matter how you get the power ( reflash or tuner box ). I went with td. Because they raise the rev limit making the sled less knock senctive.

When I spoke to Ben at td, before i bought his reflash he said the new versions 18 or 19 were tested up to 8000' buy bike man performance. He did make changes to the organial flash for the higher elevation.

last winter we took the time to ride from 0-12500 ft to build our compensation tables for the 2 stroke ECU and it is the same for 4 stroke. we are ready.

Thanks !

There is more to it than rev limiter. We have a lot of safety features, way more than a stock ECU. TD Knock light, TD Boost adjust (boost retard), the stock timing retard, Lower engine temp warnings. Knock reducing timing maps that still gives max power.

These TD tunes have over 100 000$ in development costs and it shows.

Thanks for the testimonial guys, that's what I hear as well. There is a good number of customers riding in the mountains with our reflash. However we have something new this year and HP will be way up even on stock turbo.

We just have to go ride with the new stage 5 in the mountain. I bet we get another 20-30HP over normal max HP !

TD get us the hp numbers at elevation and the required testing however that is done. Another player in this segment is more than needed! Lookin forward to it. Competition will only bring out the best in everyone.

Agreed, Go to the mountains to test. Get a dyno at the parking lot anywhere above 7000 ft and test. Then go test in the powder.

All of our Z1/1100T tunes were developed and tested toward the end of 2010/2011 seasons at Rabbit Ears Pass, Buff Pass, ect (approximately 10'000') and throughout the 2012 season in Colorado, Utah and BC. Our stock turbo and big turbo mountain tunes are fully tested. Our high altitude shop is located at 7000' elevation and all tunes have been dyno'd and relentlessly tested in the field.

We have implemented advanced safety and running features into all of our stock turbo and big turbo tunes. Some of our features are: Raised rev limit with knock sensor scaled to match the new limit, lowered water temperature light, raised and smoothed idle, lower drive away temperature rev limit, ignition and boost retard for detonation, broad useable powerband, etc.

These tunes & big turbos kits flat out rock.
