Clutchin/jetting

I need a clutch and jetting set up for 7000ft and up I have a 98 xc 700 motor with a slp head V-3 and twin pipes I have a EGT what should I be runnin for temps?Please help going to snowy range real soon Thanks Chris

You want to run about 50 degrees cooler than melting temp. :) I can't tell you what temps to run, each motor is different. Same temps you run at your regular riding elevation should apply to running at altitude.

Keihin carbs right? Start at 170/168 mains, clip 1 lean, air screw at 1 turn. The XC sliders are a little leaner than the RMK ones so you might need to richen the needle clip 1.

Clutching, we run 10-56 weights with almond spring above 7000 feet with a 52/34s helix. If you have Polaris helixes try the R6 if memory serves. Use the blue/orange driven spring. With an R helix you may be able to pull 10-58s, especially if you stay down around 7000 feet.

ya there Keihin carbs and I have not gotten to run it yet iam just trying to get a setup for out west and I leave the 10th and I heard that I should be runnin 1120 for temps that sound right
should I go off SLP jet chart?
tryin to get my sled ready for out there just need a little help

Temps on the EGTs mean nothing. It's different for every sled and depends on probe mounting position and the likes. I don't know what SLPs jetting chart says... the setup I detailed was what I ran on my 700RMK above 8000 feet.

You'll have to run 10-56 weights above 8000 feet I'm betting.
