BRC and SAWS and Local
Very true on supporting your local clubs and state associations. This is your way of being part of the solution and to make the Grassroots efforts more effective.
There is a tiered strategy that has been working for the anti's for years now and their members or people of like mind are actually stepping up to the plate and making it work.
They support and JOIN a local group (your local snowmobile club), they support and JOIN a state association (in Mt. the Montana Snowmobile Association) and they JOIN a national organization (I recommend BRC) due to their mission statement and the involvement risk they are able to take. I also recommend SAWS as another association that brings our numbers together and brings the information to your screen about every big planning process in the Northwest and local issues that affect snowmobiling.
This strategy and implementation by the anti's is kicking our butts and the apathy of the actual users (snowmobilers) is catching up fast. It is time for all of us to realize that this land is our land and if we want to pass our heritage down for generations it is time to act.
From initial scoping processes to the legal battles, these groups cannot continue to be in the fight without all of our support. Financially and number wise thru our memberships.
