I've posted this a couple time before but I thought it a good idea to post again. This may be a little long, but worth the read.

***Wash and dry your Klim and MotorFist gear to help it breath and to help it remain waterproof. Here is some info from Gore-Tex and Event:

GORE-TEX Outerwear:
How to Restore Water Repellency

GORE-TEX® outerwear:
Machine wash your garment as described in the wash instructions. Line dry your garment, or tumble dry it on a warm, gentle cycle.
Once it is dry, tumble dry your garment for 20 minutes to reactivate the durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric.
If unable to tumble dry, iron the dry garment on gentle setting (warm, no steam) by placing a towel or cloth between the garment and the iron. This will help reactivate the DWR treatment on your garment’s outer fabric.
When the factory applied treatment can no longer be reactivated, apply a new water-repellent treatment available as a pump-spray or wash-in product to the garment's outer fabric.
GORE-TEX® footwear:
We do not recommend the use of waterproofing waxes or greases as they can seriously affect the footwear's breathability. Apply only treatments, polishes, conditioners, and dressings recommended by the manufacturer. Always check the manufacturer’s care instructions on the label of your footwear first.

Before laundering your garment, zip the front closure, pockets and pit zips completely, and fasten all flaps and straps. Be sure to follow the garment manufacturer’s instructions to ensure high performance.

Event Care Instructions:

Always follow the garment manufacturer’s care and use instructions. Below are general considerations for maintaining garments with eVent fabrics. Avoid heavy soiling, which could affect membrane performance temporarily. Thorough washing will generally maintain and restore product performance. Regular washing of your eVent garment will enhance product performance. Your garment may be machine washed in warm water (110F / 40C) with liquid detergent, and we recommend a second rinse to remove all traces of detergent from the fabric. We recommend you drip-dry your garment. Remember also to refer to the garment manufacturer’s guidelines.
Do not use fabric softeners or bleach. Never dry-clean your garment. We also recommend that you avoid ironing the garment, but if you do, use the steam setting on no higher temperature than “warm”. At some temperatures, the heat from the iron can have a rejuvenating effect on the DWR finish but there is a greater potential for fabric damage if the iron is too hot.

How to maintain DWR

Your garment made with eVent fabrics may contain a durable water repellent finish (DWR) on the exterior of the fabric that serves as a first barrier to penetration of the fabric by external water. This DWR finish degrades over time and will occasionally need to be replenished. You will be able to tell when this water repellency has degraded because water will cease to bead up on the fabric. Even though the waterproof eVent membrane is still keeping the water from passing through the fabric, performance will be increased if you maintain the DWR finish with regular treatments. We suggest treating the DWR finish at the same time as your regular garment washings.

Sooooooo.....taking it off, jumping in the crew cab and chucking it over the back seat until the next ride isn't recommended?
:)
Hate to admit it, but my Powerxross pullovers seem to like that. Of course, it was nice and warm last winter, they dried pretty well in the back seat. Lol.
