I got a 08 m1000 with cpc twins on it. I bought this sled not knowing it had this many issues. Codes have been flashing up on it ecu 17 and ecu 4. temp sensor, and barometric sensor pressure. I installed the 470 ohm resistor and it still flashing up both codes. (to me it seems to idle rougher but I may just be hearing things ) I know my Speedo is BAD (none of the buttons work on it). Sometimes after I work it in the trees of or just work it a bit when I go to start it, it just dies. I have to play with the throttle for 3 or 4 minutes before it wants to go. and last of all My speedometer does not work it will not tell me how fast im going or rake up any miles. any info would be appreciated thanks

You need to replace the sensor, then your idling problem will be gone. It is in limp mode which is rich.

My sled did the same thing and I tried to just put a resistor in there to save a $100 bucks. Didn't work, kept flashing, and ran crappy. Putting the resistor in does not work all the time. Several guys have tried it to no avail.I put a new sensor in and it runs great.

4 - (Check Engine Light) Open or short circuit in barometric pressure sensor.

Not sure how to fix it but check your connections, make sure tube is cleared.

I may be wrong, but this is what my manual says about the barometric sensor:

This sensor is located inside the ECU and is part of
the ECU unit. Its purpose is to sense atmospheric
pressure. From this information, the ECU determines
the correct fuel/air mixture ratio.
NOTE: This sensor is not replaceable. If it should
fail, the ECU must be replaced.

I'd replace the exhaust temp sensor first.
