This is my last attempt to explain this. Think of the coolant hoses like a balloon. If you take a mouthful of water and blow it into a balloon, you've emptied your mouth, but lost zero water. Now if you allow the balloon to contract, water will be pushed back into your mouth.

What this system does is not the standard for this type of system in other applications, so everyone has a bit of a point. On this Machine however this seems to be the standard, I and I am sure most of you will monitor it closely , but I do not expect any problem with it.
One thing that comes to mind is that just before the ride back I rolled my sled just to get it out of an ugly spot where some &^$%#**)( parked it:face-icon-small-hap going upside down may introduce an air bubble back into the system.

My xm does the very same thing!
If I fill it to the propper level cold leave from 900(home) feet 7000+(snowys)
When I come back the cold level is low..
I pop the cap and it pukes all over the sled.
Ive Done this 2 times
I stopped topping the resevoir...
