We had a similar looking sled in our group two weeks ago. We have never gone there without at least one arm gets trashed. It’s not on my top places to ride, because of all the land mines.

2 sleds in our group took out 3 a-arms the first day there last week. Too many landmines there.

Anyone ridden out to the North or South in the last week? Would imagine no powder anywhere and streams running pretty good?

Rode Saturday. Snowed all day. Found plenty of soft stuff off the trail. Just gotta be creative. Creeks not running.

Looking to make a quick trip West and have never been to the Horns! Typically it's Togwotee or Wolf Creek. We always stay in the trees and are not into open slopes or just pounding out meadows.
What are the Northern and Southern Horns like?

Leaving this afternoon so whatever you got would help.

Thanks!

North horns have a lot bigger riding area. They have trees like you will not find in any other mountain range. They can get tight and impassable, but fun and challenging. Let me know if you have any questions

Hi Shelby, Rich and Yoyo here, I rode with you and Dave D in Tog last winter. We hope all is well. We have had an awesome season riding BC Canada and Montana. Tons of snow, we had 14' fall at our place in NW Montana this winter. Hope to ride with you again some day! Photo of your gully adventure and the other was in Sicamous BC recently, epic week of sunshine and untracked pow everyday. Cheers

So how is the snow in the Big Horns, anyone ridden out there lately? All set up and streams flowing yet? Thinking of a trip next weekend which would be the latest we have ever ridden out there.

I rode the south side this Tuesday. Lots and lots of snow. The storm that came through Sunday night and Monday dropped about 8 inches up on top. The storm today looks like it might have dropped the same amount. Spring riding in the big horns is the best. Last year we rode in 2 feet of great snow on April 30th.

Rode Thursday and Friday out of Bear Lodge. Excellent base, 12” fresh on top. Untracked each day. Should have stopped off and rode Hills. 8” so far in Iowa. Will ride sled to work tomorrow!
