This popular winter playground in Montana’s Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest is accessed by trails on Idaho’s Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Closing the area would adversely impact winter business in Shotgun, all of Island Park, and West Yellowstone say areas business owners and snowmobile enthusiasts

I'm not a native Mantanian but I support the efforts to stop this movement. My freinds and I make our annual trek out to the IP area every year. And I hate to see this happen. The Fern Fondlers must be stopped. Efforts of snowmobilers to clean up after themselves and leave areas clean are commendable. Snowmobilers ARE Environmentalists! Lets keep Mt. Jefferson OPEN!
