Stator (98 600 Powder Special) Compatibility

i dont think they made a 500 efi in 98. besides, usually a efi stator will not work in a non efi sled. i could be wrong on this but i am 99 percent sure. 98 600's had a defect in the stator to begin with and there was a service bulletin put out on them by cat. your safest bet is to buy one from a 98 600. they are on ebay all the time. i had a 98 zr 600 efi but parted it out before i had any issues with the stator. allmost all of them go at one point or another.
