Sounds like some sort of 600 Etec touring machine. At least what was just told from my dealer...

Purpose built 425 e-tec, single cylinder snowbike with reverse, Shot, and a CVT clutch mounted behind the motor. Very light and 80 hp.

Why not?

Because currently Snowbikes don't have a classification. Meaning, they aren't a snowmobile-so technically states will not allow them on trails legally. Mostly because they don't have headlight, taillight, left handed brake (typically where the clutch is). Among a host of other issues. So from a manufacturers standpoint its risky and a lot of work and cost.

Don't shoot me, this information is from a friend who is an avid snowbiker as well as ex law enforcement.

two releases touring 900 ace and New 600 motor based on 850 in a MXZ sled in the G4 platform. +5 HP to 125, and 30% more responsive.

No Mountain sled, no Bike, And No Kids sled.

Where the Buffalo roam
Possibly Devil,.....
My money is more along the lines of something similar to "Iron Dog" release several years ago. Which, in my opinion was totally lackluster lol, nothing special in my minds eye.
However, I tend to think that a 650 ETEC, or 600 ETEC2 is more along the lines of what happening. That segment is long overdue on an Engine Advance. 600 ETEC was offered in 09 as a spring order, and has had no significant changes 9 years. Its been a great engine for the market and BRP but long overdue for a refreshing. 800 ETEC was introduced in 2011 and leap frogged by the 850 in 2017. With snowmobile sales in the tank so speak this should be interesting.

:eyebrows: 600 etec R and a 900 !!:face-icon-small-con Shoulda took the Textron deal

Ok so I was Kinda right. The 600 guys got something. Its well deserved, they have waited patiently. I'm good with nothing in mountain sled market. I like my G4 850, good sled, room for improvement, but by no means in capable of anything. Not to mention if it was a "Big Mountain or 850 release", it would absolutely kill the guys that bought 17's and 18's.
Sidebar here, personally I think a factory Turbo 850 is still just risky for the factory. Possible, but risky.

The 600 was due for a revamp. Good engine, since 2009, I remember how jealous I was of the etec until the 800 version came out 2 years later. Still can’t believe I put up with carbs until then.

It seems like it's not the normal procedure . Don't most make a middle class engine than base their big bore off of that ?

This ought to be one tough 600 .
