passed on a 2010 D8 155 for $9800 in 1st half of Jan. 2010 (dealer in MN). They also had an Assault, same price. Seems to me that the mid-season price is WAY better than the snow check.

Sxriar: I agree to. Hope some dealers order up a bunch of the black/silver pro-ride 800 155's, then sell them for $9800 like they tried to last year! Can't wait to ride one

Did that 9800 include tax? Mine did. You proved my point, it wasn't 2-3 grand cheaper. It also didn't have the longer warranty like the snowcheck had, so no, the mid season price wasn't that much better.

No. Did not include tax. No..did not have the longer warranty, which on these engines is worth snow checking to get. Will be interesting to see what the number end up being on this new RMK (S.C. $$, fall 2010 prices, and production numbers). My thought was that maybe being in MN played some into the "get rid of these 2010 sleds" price as well.

Skibreeze...well said.

Our local dealer was selling '10 155 800's for $8500.00 plus tax, 163's were like $8750.00. This is a dealership that never sells anything below manufacturers suggested prices, so I am assuming the whole discount came from Polaris.
Makes me feel good about Snowchecking my '09 163 for $11,250.
Polaris feeds us the same line every year about how they are cutting production, yet every year in January they are discounting sleds to get rid of them.

This sled is driving me nuts!!

DITTO!!! My dealer told me that the only snowcheck incentive (besides the color) was that the machine would come with a 4 year warranty.

Snowcheck or holdover?

I wonder what kind of incentives there will be on the piles of dragons still crated next year? I am guessing you will be able to find 2010's going out the door for under $7500.00 Trade in values are going to be non-existant with dealers already sitting on crates of unsold 800's which have bad reputations. This will only be made worse if the new motor is actually "improved" The new sleds are going to be popular but I think you will take a beating getting into one. One thing for sure, snowcheck sales numbers will have a big impact on production numbers and sales prices next fall. I am on the fence, would like a new sled but I just replaced the entire motor in my 08 700 and it will be a good sled for 2-3 more years and It is paid for :face-icon-small-hap

Anyone else know anything about longer warranty? 4 years?
