Welcome mn
My father has a 2012 x 154, and he has a heck of a time riding it in powder and on hard pack. Sway bar is disconnected to help with laying it over. It seems unsafe in bumps and even going slow threw trees going to the next riding area it mite unexpectedly throw you off trail and get you stuck. In the pow it's descent but you haft to be very careful not to go to far on the side, seems like anyone who rides it ends up with the hood completely buried. I'm just looking for suggestions on suspension setup or skis or anything.

With stock shocks/springs, put the swaybar back on...way to soft without it. That will help with a lot of the issues you describe, along with adjusting riding technique to the chassis.
Typical setup would be ski springs set fairly soft 1-2 with swaybar intact.
Limiter strap in stock(3rd) hole. Rear springs on 3-4 for average weight rider, front skid spring adjust for ski pressure.
The DS2 skis work MUCH better than the DS skis on the 12, or there are several aftermarket skis that would work better depending on the type of riding he wants to do.
Bar riser in line with the steering post, or just slightly forward....not straight up or pushed forward. Bar position has more effect on how the sled works than some might think.

Thank you for the very prompt reply, the sled just so happens to be at dealer for a recall-warranty top end, the new skis are being installed and I will play with the front end, again thanks for the help! And dad's weight is 165 plus gear , extra gas can and a gear bag on tunnel.
