ambient temp sensor install??

I bought air temp sensor for my Dragon, anyone installed one of these?

do you really have to take off the hood?

I thought they just plugged in and away you go.

I installed one on my 08 600 rmk. It does just plug right in. It all depends on where you want to install the little sensor. I ended up taking off my hood, pipe and that aluminum plate to mount my sensor down below my skinz bumper. The key is installing it in a place where it won't receive any heat from the exhaust or else it won't be accurate.
