This shock was used for a most 2 seasons. I replaced it with a coilover EXIT.
The scratches happened during delivery of the machine to me from the dealer. They refused to replace it. But I had the top shock guy here in Newfoundland Canada look at it and he said the shock will not likely compress to the point the seal would reach it. He also lightly sanded it to make it smooth there. Hasn't leaked.
