I like the thought of that, get the new Atlas with a small nuclear reactor for propulsion and your good for what 20yrs? Too bad it would probably cost as much as 100 yrs worth of fuel not to mention getting in a wreck:face-icon-small-sho

If they did a turbo V8 in an F-250 chassis I'd trade the cummins I just bought last summer in on one in a heartbeat.

Amen, after having my 2008 F-250 towed into the dealership, for the second time in less then 6 months, the other day. I'm over it, truck has low miles and spends more time pissing me off it seems then getting me around. Lucky it is still under warranty, but the thought of owning that thing without a warranty, keeps me up at night.

That new F150 looks cool, but time will tell if it hits the streets looking like that.

Ford could use a V8 Eco boost to replace the 6.2.
I've thought Fords Triton motors were anemic at best, had a bunch of them every size and almost every year model, then I got a '11 F150 work truck with the 5.0 and it was an awesome engine. Had more snort than the old V10's IMO.
Just replaced that with a '13 F250 with the 6.2 and was expecting big block power out of a little 6 liter motor, like the 5.0.
After about 5k miles I feel it doesnt have any more power than the 5liter and fuel mileage is abysmal. No better than any of the old triton motors.
Bring on the V8 eco.

Thats guna be a spendy rig if they put it in a 250. But something they'd need to work on is mileage while pulling if stuck in a 250.

Those are some decent numbers.

The rear window looks interesting now with the slider inset of a single pane of glass. Why do these test mules still have the old 5 bolt wheel pattern that they haven't used in 10 years?

I believe the 2WD pickups still use the 5 lug wheels.

The North American based automaker Ford is planning to introduce the 2015 F-150 to the next month’s NAIAS, in Detroit.

The 2015 Ford F-150 will make its public debut next year, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. The announcement hasn’t been made officially by the carmaker but it’s part of an actual report, which has been posted by Bloomberg. According to our source, the brand new Ford F-150 will receive some aluminum body panels which will help the model shed approximately 340 kg (750 lb-s) from its total weight.

The new Ford F-150 is believed to be inspired by the Atlas Concept and rumors are saying that this will be powered by a brand new EcoBoost 2.7 liter engine, which should be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid version of the new truck is also expected to make its way onto the market, eventually, which should become the vehicle of choice. Sadly we have no more details on the brand new 2015 Ford F-150 so we will have to wait for the 2014 Detroit Motor Show to officially open its gates next month in order to find out more about this vehicle, and not only.

2.7 ?

Was hoping for more, not less.
I love the 3.5, but I think smaller would not help mileage any & likely forfeit some power/torque?
