what to seal hood with?

i took my sled out a couple of weeks ago and found im having issues with snow getting on my clutches, so i looked my sled over and there is a 1" gap on the pto side of my sled between the side panel and the hood, and the mag side has maybe a 1/4" so im wondering what you guys are using to seal stuff like that up? i bought some 1/2" closed cell weatherstrip foam and some 1, 1/4" open cell weather strip foam and am going to try to use some 3m trim adhesive to stick it to the inside of the foam. any other ideas??
