Had one on my 2015 summit x since day 1. Works great. Still on original belt after 1000+ km. Will be putting one on my next sled.

Thanks for input I'm defiantly going with one. Little bummed doo won't let few sleds out to aftermarket guys so they can get their products out... All good though just sucks to tear it down in December when we been on it for a month... What hearing did you guys run? I think I'm gunna go to higher than stock w the 850 more track speed it's got tons of power like a big bore

Where did you get your info on "steel instead of cast" chaincase? About 95% sure the 850 chaincase is magnesium and very light.

I had a 2.42 gearset on my 14xm 154. It worked well and tom was great to deal with. Actual weight loss was a hair over 2lbs. Machine felt snappier with the belt. For my 850 with a 154 2.5 ill prob try a 2.33. Even if the exchange makes toms price a little higher than C3s he was very supportive and because of that I'd buy from him again

Even if it is steel, instead of cast, BRP said there is no weight gain from what was advertised. Ill definetly take a stronger steel over a lighter material for more strength.

The info from the doo release. Chain case magnesium, don't know if that includes the cover. Anyone know the benefit of Mg over aluminum? Seems like all the manufacturers a are using Mg for chaincase these days. My guess is that Tom was referring to the "Bimetal" (aluminum and steel) bottom gear may or may not come on the production sleds.

Even the XP,XM,T3 chain case and covers were magnesium. Ski doo just made the G4 lighter. At least that was my understanding.

I'll call tom and ask him again we talk often bc he knows the ins and outs of what's wrong w sleds or not wrong. All I know is that the release model got changed from demo one and it's heavier

Magnesium is lighter than aluminum. That is the reason they went to Magnesium years ago.
