Where is everyone going to mount the Cat magnetic tether on the Axys?<div>I was thinking of using the boss on the dash opposite the key because the switch is so large, any ideas?</div>

You know when I was testing my harness on the 2019 850 I also thought to myself where would be a good place to install tether due to its size.
Polaris didn't leave to much area to have a tether in the first place. But I did think off to one side of dash between rider and steering column.

Similar idea as above post.

Could always go where the directions say and put it in front of the console buttons.

Just curious with all the issues Ive read and heard about with the old rubber tether like you have mounted, did you look at the magnetic tether as an option??

Klim in, I ran this tether on my pro for 5 years with zero issues. I am aware of the others that have had issues. If this one gives me grief I'll go else wear.

If you want to use a handlebar bag with the AC magnetic tether you will want to get the hole drilled as close to the high/low beam and handlebar heater switches. I ended up shimming the switch down with some washers and even had to cut the top of the tether off and drill a new hole lower and re-cable clamp the cord through the tether.

Attached images need to be opened.

Hosted images (eg photobucket, your photo files here on this forum etc... appear in the post).

I copied the URL of your attachment and posted it as a linked image and you see it.

when putting a tether on a moving part, like the steering post make darn sure you are not flexing the wires where they enter
the switch and that you give plenty of room for the wires to flex...most wire is not made for cyclic flexing in a large degree,
like turning the steering post lock to lock.

This item is a safety item... and you want to make darn sure your wiring is not your achilles heel.
