Look at 'HECKS' pics. That is a steel drive shaft from a chain case model sled.
Now look at ur aluminum drive shaft from a beltdrive sled. Big difference!
Which drivers do I need?

Looks like avid specifies different ones for a chaincase?

8 tooth drivers on a Splined (Steel) shaft out of a PRO chassis fit in our AXYS chassis .

7 Tooth Steel shafts come in AXYS chaincase models
Aluminum 7 tooth drivers come in AXYS Belt Drive models

Not for sure cuz I'm not gearing one but the Pro Belt drive models had a 8 tooth and might or most likely does fit .

power claw 3"

I have a 2018 163 3" will the power claw go under it with no additional parts needed?

The QD shaft out of the older QD pro's Have 8 tooth and will slap right in a Axys - only difference is the bearing cup retainer studded vs. bolt holes-
Bolt patterns are both the same, same 2.8 pitch drivers

Just assume the QD didn't get the splined steel shaft is for the weight savings that the QD models are known for.

How's the clearance with an 8t 3" pitch/3" track in an axys?

If I can put less wrap on the track, why not?

Will not fit. Will need a drop n roll to go with 8 tooth 3” pitch 3” track.

7 tooth work great.

Still highly recommend purchasing Avid's Special 7 tooth Powerclaw drivers and Ice age anti-stab. Throw away the idea of the goofy and non functional Center driver

Got everything on but the rails still haven't arrived.

Being completely new to the axys I've not got a slightly heavier track, bigger lugs, and a tiny bit bigger diameter drivers......

What do you guys think about gearing down a tad? I know some people have been doing it on stockers so if there is a need, I imagine I'd be even more justified.

I'm going to ride it first either way but just thinking out loud.

Are there any cheaper options than the kits from Kurt's? I'm on a belt drive. Thanks!
