Cutting exhuast valve mod?

Has anyone ever heard machining or cutting the exhuast valves on the 800R motor? I have heard about it but never seen it just wondering what it is and what you gain?

Typically lower mid Piston temps.cut too much and throttle response will suffer. Do these on all the BB,s

Had mine done on stock 09 800R, if there was a difference it was unnoticeable to me.
