Pieps 457 Opti Avalanche Beacon. how user friendly is this beacon. dont have a ton of money to spend on one right now and was wondering what you guys who have one think of it? any help will be appreciated

It's extremely easy to use it omits a beep signal

up to 40 yards and then as the beep gets louder as your going in the right direction, you increase the sesitivity, 40,30,20, 10, 5,2.5, 1 then you dig and there is the other beacon. very simple and user friendly. I had a buddy who was wearing one, and so were the guys tracking him, and they dug him out, he was 6 feet under the snow level, and survived
