Dealer rep just emailed us saying our 165 alphas should be on a truck to our dealer in a week or so. I guess these things just show up when they feel like it

From what i seen last yr.
Most all of the 153 Mtn Cats were delivered before 162s started shipping.

This yr is opposite, 165s are delivering now and 154s Haven't started shipping yet.

165's showed up at my dealer today. Have to say it's one sweet looking sled. Crazy how much easier the 165 Alpha is pulling over on the floor over the 153 MC. I almost want to go 165 but don't want to lose the front end being happy and wheelie over the 154/153

Boom! Picked up my 154 Alpha today. Silber turbo bound soon. Cfr bars and ride the piss out of it. Definitely one of cats best built fit n finished sleds. Will dig in soon and check pull rope routing. How will break in be affected by installing turbo new?

Rob, Dave, and Nethercott put 200 miles on the motors stock to break them in before they build them. Not sure what difference it makes, I just know they do.

Mine is also going on right away. Heat cycle it a couple times and away we go. Years agoe we used to ride them first to make sure the sled was running perfectly before installing the turbo so we New if it didn’t run right it was a turbo problem and not a sled problem. Now a days my whole group install on day one and no one has had a problem just take it easy the first day the same as you would with s stocker

I would at least get it out of the 1.5 -2 hour break in mode where they won't rev past 6500.

Myself I would put 100 -200 mi. on to verify you have a good engine and drivetrain! I would hate to do all that work and then find out you have a bummer engine and have to remove all that apparatus back to stock! You never know you may have an engine with boarder line clearances either loose or tight and run into problems quickly? Mike
