The foam on the inside of my airbox is falling apart so i took it out and just running it without the foam. Is this bad? Is there anyway I can put a piece of foam inside the box to add some sort of filter for the snow and debris? right now the only type of filter is just a screen at the top of the box. Thanks.

Leave it out but leave the shelf in the air box.

I dont have anything in the box. There was no shelf or dividers in the air box when i got it. I just have a top screen over the top hole nothing else. Do i need the shelf? what exactly is it?

Someone already gutted the airbox. If you can run the chimney foam(top square foam) in-tacked that is sufficient.
