Rev limiter code

I need some help! I have a14 800 XM, yesterday my sled ran perfect and about half way through the day it started shutting down and going into limp mode. It would pop a code up that said rev limiter. I would shut it off and then restart and it would come out of limp mode but when it hit about 7800 rpm it would shut down.
Also this started happening about the same time I finished the break in period. I tried adjusting the clutch weights but that did not do anything.
Any ideas would be a great help.

Took it in and the stator came apart and was shorting out. I just barely got past break in mode, what a drag! Hopefully ski doo will warranty it.
