Timber Sled Drop Brackets Options??

I dont know what skid you have,but on my Summit,when I removed the stock brackets to install the TS ones,the stock ones bent and cracked just from removal...so there is no doubt that they should be replaced....IMO...if you are a large guy.

Stock are fine but as you say they are a heavy.

If you want to use stock brackets with the TS skid you have to shorten the axle that holds the rear of the skid to the brackets. Stock brackets are narrower than the TS ones.

I used TS Drop brackets for a year. I never had any problems with them but i wish they were wider where they mounted to the tunnel in order to distribute weight better. I now have a set of Power Addiction drop brackets and like them alot better. But to make your own would be a pretty simple task as well.
