Fried Hood harness, replaced it but warning beep is still on. Any solutions?

I was riding my 2009 M8 and I melted the hood harness on the hot pipe. Sled's warning beep started beeping. So I bought the $115 hood harness and replaced it. It lights up the Speedo great but the beeping is still there. Do I gotta do something to it like resetting the computer at the dealership? Help a sledder out. Thanks.

if the beeper is the only issue- unplug it

2 wires on the right side

Test

I called the AC dealer and he told me the test from the tech manual. Unplug the reverse alarm switch from the gearcase. With the sled off hook up an ohm meter to the violet and black wires. If less than one ohm while the reverse button is engaged switch is fine if more than one ohm switch is bad. I dont own an ohm meter so I just unplugged the SOB and will ride. Finally cuz we got snow.
