I recently redid my thumbwarmer and switch and had that whole assembly pulled apart including throttle with cable diaconnected. After getting it back together it seems like it wants to die and will pop when I let off the throttle high rpms are good but its when I let off is the problem. Idle is around 1800 rpms and sounds strong but headlight is dim. Any help would be great!

Wheres that located and no I haven't tried that. Would it run fine if it was disconnected or is it a unplug and plug it back in as more of a reset type of deal?

I'm guessing its the cable length that's throwing it off like you said cause there is a bit of slack in my cable after removing that stuff
