10 m8 blown motor help

i took my 2010 m8 out today and about a mile from the truck on a side hill it locked up tighter then **** havent tore into it yet it only has 1300 miles on it need help what to check and what to replace well iv'e got it that far apart it sounded like a belt came apart when it seized need some advice

when you get it apart post pics of the carnage...that will help define what may have been the issue....

as well any mods...any previous issues...any previous maintenance such as coolant change etc...

check oil res cap i have had two fail this year from it not venting right 2008 m8 and a 2008 m1000

Check that the linkage didnt come off throttle to oil pump!

When you have it out, check all your motor mounts also. The rubber grommets come apart with time. As far as the motor, if it locked up solid (wouldn't turn over at all), and made a bad sound, it may be a crankshaft. For your sake I hope not.
