needle and seat clarification needed

dealers want an arm n leg for new needle/seats.
I want to buy on e bay but dont know the difference (if any) with these.

some have "163" in the pn, some "511". in their chart they say they fit an ultra sp, i have rmk. both models have same pn from polaris, so which of these should i order?

after more googling, im thinking the 511s are what i need. that seller says both have the viton tip, but the charts i find tell me otherwise.

I know that both Viton and non-Viton are available in the same size needle and seat. I'm not sure on those 2 parts you list, the regular Polaris carbs over 34mm us the "long" needle and seat but I don't know how to tell you to figure that out from those listings.

the charts i found suggests 163 are regular tip and the 511 are the rubber for snowmobiles. so i ordered 3 of the 511s and crossing my fingers.
dealer wants about $48 a piece for them! got three coming to my door for $60:face-icon-small-coo

I think you are right on the tips and it looks like you ordered the right ones.

Another difference appears to be in height of seat. Just check your float height when you install the new ones.

VM28/163
Height of brass seat: .614 in.
Diameter of brass seat: .393 in.
Thread size: 10mm
Wrench head size: 9mm

VM28/511
Needle Installed Height: .515 in.
Diameter of Brass Seat: .393 in.
Thread Size: 10mm
Wrench Head Size: 9mm
